Since there has been alot of discussion on the proposed rule changes and current rule on clothes and shooting coats and such. I was wondering what does everybody here wear. Such as under your coats and pants. |

I wear a Monadr Olympic all leather ussf coat, and pants. They talor them to your fit and I am very happy with the quality, and fit. Anschutz shoes, a shooting sweater in colder weather, which we always have here in Seattle area.
Other than that, I wear just regular heavy socks, and normal underwear.
If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten. |

You did not say if you were shooting position or only prone.
If you are only shooting prone this is what I wear.
Monard jacket, leather and canvas
Anschutz shooting sweater
Light sweat shirt
Under shirt
For pants, whatever you feel comfortable in.
Always wear the same clothes. Don't change to a different weight of sweatshirt or an additional sweatshirt. You are after consistency.
When shooting position I wear the above but for pants I wear a pair of nylon warmup pants under my Sauer shooting pants. I see some very strange sights when people are wearing tights under their shooting pants! It is important that your pants are lose fitting beneath your shooting pants particularly in the kneeling position. Do not wear jeans as they restrict breathing, etc. |

For outerwear I have a full Thune outfit, jacket, pant and boots. Underneath I wear two sweatshirts that are just slightly tight(this prevents the fabric from bunching up in annoying places). I wear sweatpants under the shooting pants. Especially the sweatpants are a bit stretchy to avoid them restricting movement in building the base for kneeling.
Using sweatshirts one must be careful where the seams end up WRT the sling. the seam that seals the sleeve or attaches the cuff can get in the wrong position and cause pain and lost points. This is where the new shooting sweater options have the advantage. |

I thank the shooters for their quick responses. Myself I have Gehmann coat and pants and wear sweats under them. I will be getting a sweater for the reasons justadude said. Footwear right now are just some flat stiff bottom shoes. until a ruling is made on boots thats what it will remain.
